Audio-GD Master 7 DAC There is one issue that’s the USB socket has worn out and is inoperative. For me it’s not a problem because I use an Amanero 384 USB off-ramp I2S into this dac and it sounds better than all other methods. PCM1704UK x8. Oversampling can be set and currently it’s set to NOS. After warmed up the sound is VERY 3D and life like. Warming up is important for this machine. If you prefer more intimate and upfront sound then steer away and go for an R2R dac. Each has its merits. Price is fixed. The 1704UK is around $300 each at the moment and there are x8 of them. Worst
At A$1,500, this sits above the A$1,125 median and comfortably inside the typical range from A$773 to A$1,895, so it reads as a fair-to-slightly-strong asking price rather than a bargain. It’s not outrageous, but it also isn’t a steal unless the condition is especially clean or the accessories are unusually complete.
This is still a respected multibit DAC with a serious, weighty presentation and the kind of natural, non-fatiguing sound many Audio-gd fans chase. If it’s been well cared for and comes with the original remote, packaging, and a known-good power setup, that adds real value. At this price, I’d want clear photos and confirmation it powers up cleanly, but the listing is absolutely worth a look.

Founded and led by Mr. He Qinghua, a First Prize winner in the National Semiconductor (USA) Audio competition, the company has built its heritage on innovative engineering from China, emphasizing proprietary technologies such as the ACSS (Audio-gd Current Signal System) for current-domain signal transmission.
The brand specializes in two-channel hi-fi components, including DACs renowned for R2R ladder converters, preamplifiers, headphone amplifiers, and balanced designs in its flagship Master and HE series. These products incorporate advanced features like regenerative power supplies, positioning Audio-gd as a purveyor of digital-to-analog converters and amplification solutions rather than speakers, turntables, or headphones.
Audio-gd holds a strong niche in the high-end market, celebrated for exceptional price-to-performance ratios that deliver refined, silent soundscapes—earning multiple Qobuzism awards for standout models. Boutique appeal draws discerning buyers seeking value-driven excellence over mainstream luxury pricing, with a reputation for technical prowess that shocks even seasoned audiophiles.
