At A$1,650, the ask looks fair to slightly strong: I’d anchor it against the pre-owned HE1000 V2 at A$2,390 and the newer HE1000 Stealth around A$2,399, which puts this one notably below typical asking levels in Australia.
That said, the HE1000 V2 is still prized for its huge stage, airy top end, and very refined planar presentation; plenty of enthusiasts still prefer the original tuning over the stealth revisions. If it’s clean, complete, and the headband, pads, and drivers are healthy, this is a genuinely attractive buy for someone chasing top-tier Hifiman sound without paying near-new money.
