Seller's Description

Tara Labs Prime RSC 1500 Biwire Speaker Cables 8ft long (approx 2.4m). I’m the original owner. Purchased from Australian dealer approx 2013. These were subsequently renamed and marketed as Tara Labs Prime RSC M2. They have a very high purity of copper and sound very clean and transparent, especially for speakers that are bi-wirable.  They’ve only been used in a clean domestic situation with high end amplification and speakers. Complete with original box and paperwork as shown. They have removable spades or banana plugs which are all there. Can post Australia wide or do local pickup.      http:

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Tara Labs PRIME RSC 1500 speaker cables are solid '90s-era performers from the Colorado maker's entry Reference line—decent low-level resolution and that signature RSC shielding for noise rejection, though they're no longer top-shelf by today's standards. Used pairs in decent shape typically trade for AUD700-1,200 on the Aussie market, depending on length and terminations. At AUD400, this is a bargain if it's a full stereo set (say, 2-3m runs), undercutting fair value by a good margin—snap it up quick before the seller wises up.

Before biting, verify the exact length, gauge (likely 13 AWG), and terminations—spades or bananas in good nick? Check for oxidized conductors or RSC braid wear, common after 25+ years; tug-test connectors for intermittents. Insist on original boxes or tags to confirm authenticity, as fakes pop up. No smoke test? Walk.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Tara Labs

Tara Labs, known formally as The Absolute Reference Audio Labs, traces its origins to 1984 when Australian innovator Matthew Bond founded the company in Sydney. Bond pioneered the first successful single solid-core conductor for audio cables, revolutionizing design with breakthroughs like the Phase II speaker cable in 1988. By 1986, the brand established its manufacturing base in Medford, Oregon, USA, where it has operated ever since under the leadership of president Merrill Bergs, blending Bond's foundational inventions with ongoing refinements.

The company specializes exclusively in high-end audio cables, including interconnects, speaker cables, and subwoofer cables. All products are custom hand-crafted in their Southern Oregon facility using solid-core wire and proprietary technologies such as the ZERO Evolution interconnect and OMEGA speaker cable. Tara Labs emphasizes meticulous, lifetime-guaranteed construction, avoiding diversification into amplifiers, speakers, or other categories.

Positioned firmly in the ultra-premium niche of the hi-fi market, Tara Labs commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its unmatched record of awards, reviews, and innovations over nearly four decades. It leads as a boutique cable authority, hand-crafting reference-grade solutions that reveal subtle nuances in attack, sustain, and high-frequency detail, though recent visibility in magazines has waned following key designer changes.
