Based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, ProAc was formally launched after Tyler discovered superior drive units manufactured by ATC, which prompted him to establish a dedicated brand for higher-quality designs. The company relocated to a dedicated factory in Brackley in 1990, where production continues today.
