Eico HF-61 1950s - gold brown

This is an Eico all tube mono hi-fi preamp. It carries 3 x 12ax style preamp tubes and a 6x4 rectifier. It comes with 3 x Electro Harmonix 12AX7s and a JAN / Phillips 6x4 rectifier. (The original schematic may call for a 12AU7 in some of those tube slots.) It looks original inside, wax capacitors, carbon comp resistors, even the knobs look original. I have tested this unit and it does "function". It fires up, passes signal and thus far seems stable. I have no way to see if the phono preamps work properly or any other functions as a hifi preamp. (I bought it to mod it into a microphone preamp or instrument preamp but never got around to it.) I do not have the screws for the face or back but the clips and threads for chassis are intact. WARNING! a serious note of caution. This is a vintage tube based piece of equipment. Please have this checked out if you don't feel comfortable working with high voltage older gear. It can be very dangerous if you are not aware of proper safety precautions.Outside of the tubes, nothing to my knowledge has been replaced on this unit. I would urge any buyer to look into replacing the filter capacitors and the power cable! (It is old, crumbly and non-polarized.)Also spider carcass not included. Also amp might be haunted.
