Seller's Description

Description:Looking to sell my Audeze LCD-X (2021 Revision). I purchased these only 33 days ago as an open-box set. They sound incredible, but I've decided to move in a different direction with my setup.Condition:Cosmetic: 9.5/10. The leather pads and headband are in pristine condition with very minimal head time, and have been well-maintained in a smoke-free/pet-free environment.Mechanical: 10/10 Functionally perfect. The planar drivers are in pristine condition with perfect channel balance and no technical issues. The "Audeze Screw": Like many LCD units, the screw on the right adjustment block tends to loosen over time. I’ve tightened it manually, and it stays put for several sessions, but it’s a known quirk with this model. A tiny drop of Blue Loctite would fix it permanently, but I wanted to leave it stock for the next owner.Includes:Audeze LCD-X HeadphonesOriginal Braided 1/4" CableAll included adaptersOriginal hard travel caseCertificate of Authenticity / Warranty CardI can include my lurchase reciept from audio44 in nyc. Which will allow you to have manufacter warranty.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At USD800 with case, this LCD-X listing sits squarely in the fair zone for used market value—recent comps show clean 2021 revisions going for USD850 on US Audio Mart, while pro shops like The Cable Co. ask USD999 for tested pairs. Typical used range hovers USD800-1,000 depending on revision and pads condition, a steal from new at USD1,700 but not a fire sale unless it's an early model needing tweaks.

Buyers, zero in on the revision year—post-2021 got lighter suspension headbands and better comfort; eyeball those earpads for protein leather cracking, a common wear point after heavy sessions. Verify the braided OCC copper cable with XLR/1/4" adapters is included, not aftermarket junk, and test for diaphragm buzz on low-end sweeps to catch any planar fatigue.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Audeze

Audeze emerged in 2008 from a modest garage in Southern California's Orange County, USA, where founders including CEO Sankar Thiagasamundram and CTO Dr. Dragoslav Colich drew inspiration from a "2001: A Space Odyssey" poster—altering its spelling to evoke a "journey through audio." The company's origin traces to an encounter with an ex-NASA scientist whose flexible circuit material, originally for spacecraft, proved ideal for planar magnetic diaphragms, sparking a revolution in headphone design rooted in advanced materials science.

Audeze specializes in premium headphones, leveraging proprietary planar magnetic drivers and patented technologies like those in the LCD Origins series for unparalleled sound reproduction. Hand-assembled in their California facility, these open-back and closed-back models target audiophiles, Grammy-winning engineers, eSports pros, and gaming enthusiasts, with innovations extending to AI-powered spatial audio—eschewing amplifiers, speakers, or ancillary gear like DACs and cables.

Positioned firmly in the high-end market, Audeze commands respect as the most-awarded headphone brand worldwide, lauded for precision craftsmanship and the most accurate sound available. Its 2023 acquisition by Sony Interactive Entertainment bolsters PlayStation audio innovation while preserving independent multi-platform development, cementing its status among discerning buyers seeking uncompromised fidelity.
