Offered is „801 Matrix 2“ by B&W as second-hand device from the category „Standing Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 6275779221 ends on 22.12.2026 at 18:12 o'clock.
At €1,390, this sits a bit above the €1,319 median of your recent EUR comps, but still well inside the normal spread and comfortably below the €1,876 75th percentile. That makes it fair to slightly firm, not a bargain, but also not overpriced for a clean example in good condition.
These are respected speakers for buyers who want the classic big-Matrix sound: scale, solid imaging, and real low-end authority when properly powered. If the cabinets, drivers, and grilles are intact and the sale includes the original bits that matter, this is a sensible buy for someone who wants the model’s full-room presence without waiting for a screaming deal.

Matrix Audio traces its roots to Xi'an, China, where three high school classmates bonded over music and audio tinkering in the early 2000s. Their passion led to building homemade speakers during a 2001 summer holiday, evolving into formal collaboration after university in 2006 with the debut of the groundbreaking DAC DA-100Plus. The brand was officially registered in 2013 under Matrix Electronic Technology Co., LTD, embodying the founders' vision of balancing sonic precision and aesthetic harmony—reflected in the "matrix" name, drawn from mathematics, and their slogan "Into The Music."
The company specializes in high-performance digital audio source devices, starting with DACs and headphone amplifiers like the best-selling mini-i series. From 2016, they expanded into streaming solutions with companion apps, and by 2018 introduced integrated music streamers featuring power amplification, quad-core processors, and MA Player software. Today, their lineup emphasizes all-in-one Hi-Fi components that blend research, design, and manufacturing in-house, prioritizing seamless integration into modern homes.
Matrix Audio holds a strong position as a mid-to-high-end contender, prized for exceptional value, engineering excellence, and user-friendly execution that rivals legacy brands. Globally recognized for sound quality, build, and minimalist design, it appeals to discerning enthusiasts seeking complete digital ecosystems without complexity, earning acclaim from audiophiles worldwide.
