Harman Kardon 330c, conservatively rating this 9 out of 10 condition (see pics/notes below), 10 out of 10 sound, fully functioning, sounds incredible! The Harman Kardon 330c is a highly regarded vintage stereo receiver from 1975, known for its warm, "musical" sound and 20W per channel output into 8ohms. It features a distinctive smoked glass faceplate, reliable solid-state engineering, and is often preferred for vinyl setups due to its quality phono stage. 20W is extremely conservative, many note this is more realistically 30W and I was using it on some 50W plus speakers with plenty of power/sound to shake the neighbors. In an era where most companies were chasing more watts, Harman Kardon engineers focused on other metrics to improve sound quality and performance at lower wattage delivering sound quality that exceeds its power rating and price point, making it a coveted item among collectors and music lovers. DETAILS:Treated pots/switches with deoxit d5 and f5, all sound crystal clear. New upgraded LED lamps for tuner dial and LED stereo bulb, FM meter also works great to dial in FM stations, I suggest attaching an antenna if you live in a more rural area. Also adjusted the bias current of the amplifier stage to spec. This receiver is functioning normally with pristine/clear sound across all functions/inputs/outputs, see all photos to review physical condition. The only thing really worth noting is subtle marks, top left of treble knob and left of balance knob see last photo. I have owned a few of these over the years and this is one of the nicest ones I have come across. I have many years selling and shipping heavy, vintage stereo equipment. This will be thoroughly and adequately packaged for safe shipping. I will also purchase insurance so buy with peace of mind knowing this will arrive as seen/described, should anything happen, we are insured and covered on this transaction.

Harman Kardon traces its origins to 1953, when Dr. Sidney Harman and Bernard Kardon, both engineers frustrated with conservative audio manufacturing at the David Bogen Company, invested $5,000 each to launch their venture in Westbury, New York. Their debut product, the Festival D1000, became the world's first compact AM/FM hi-fi receiver, blending breakthrough technology with sleek design to make high-fidelity sound accessible beyond technical enthusiasts. Pioneering innovations like the 1958 Festival TA230 stereo receiver, the 1959 Citation II ultra-wide bandwidth tube amplifier, and the 1970 CAD5 hi-fi cassette recorder with Dolby noise reduction cemented their legacy in simplifying premium audio for the home.
The brand focuses on integrated receivers, amplifiers, tuners, and speakers that emphasize performance, reliability, and elegant industrial design. Over decades, it expanded into home theater systems and automotive audio, powering systems in vehicles from Land Rover and BMW to Volvo and Polestar. While not delving into turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables, Harman Kardon prioritizes cohesive hi-fi components that deliver warm, detailed sound without unnecessary complexity.
Harman Kardon holds a solid mid-tier position in the hi-fi market, renowned among knowledgeable buyers for its enduring quality and value rather than ultra-high-end exotica or vintage collector status. Now part of Harman International, it appeals to discerning listeners seeking dependable, stylish gear that echoes its innovative heritage without commanding boutique premiums.
