Falcon Acoustics traces its roots to 1972, when Malcolm Jones, KEF Electronics' first employee from 1961 and its original Chief Design Engineer, founded the company in England as Falcon Electronics. Starting as a modest family venture with his wife Valerie, it began on a kitchen table in Bexhill, Sussex, before relocating to Mulbarton in 1976 and later to Acle in 2003. Jones's deep expertise from KEF shaped Falcon into a key supplier of audio components, including pioneering self-bonded ferrite-cored inductors that fueled numerous hi-fi magazine speaker designs in the 1970s.

The brand focuses primarily on high-performance loudspeakers, with renowned models like the award-winning BBC LS3/5A Gold Badge, the only production version fully meeting the original 1976 BBC specification. Its lineup extends to the R.A.M. series and HP.80, all handcrafted in Oxford, alongside a historical emphasis on supplying drivers, crossovers, and components to manufacturers and enthusiasts across the UK and Europe.
