Final Audio traces its roots to 1974, when Japanese audio pioneer Kanemori Takai founded the company in Japan as a high-end specialist in components like phono cartridges, amplifiers, speakers, and turntables. Initially known as Final Audio Research, it earned acclaim for groundbreaking designs, including reel-to-reel tape recorders and ultra-exclusive speakers with beryllium drivers. In 2007, Takai partnered with Molex to form S'Next Co., Ltd., launching the modern Final brand in 2009 with its first earphones; full independence came in 2014 via management buyout, merging the heritage firm and shifting focus under new leadership after Takai's passing.

Today, Final excels in portable personal audio, renowned for high-end earphones, in-ear monitors, and headphones that blend dynamic, hybrid, and armature drivers. Categories like true wireless models under the AG sub-brand, over-ear headphones since 2013, and precision cables round out the lineup, all leveraging Japanese engineering, 3D printing, and f-Series tuning for accuracy and finesse. They handle full development, from components to manufacturing, often in their Philippine facility.
