HyperX

HyperX is a gaming peripheral brand that began in 2002 as Kingston Technology’s high-performance memory division in the United States, created to serve PC gamers and overclockers. Kingston, founded in 1987 by John Tu and David Sun, later sold HyperX to HP in 2021, and the brand now sits under HP’s gaming umbrella.

HyperX is best known for gaming headsets, especially its Cloud line, along with keyboards, mice, microphones, mousepads, and charging accessories for console players. It is not a traditional hi-fi brand: it does not have a core reputation for amplifiers, DACs, turntables, or speakers, and its audio products are aimed primarily at gaming rather than audiophile listening.

In the market, HyperX occupies the mainstream mid-tier to upper-budget space, with a strong reputation for comfort, sturdy build quality, and good microphones.
