IMF ALS 40 Floorstanding Loudspeakers A very beautiful pair of the highly sought after IMF ALS 40. Extremely well looked after, with the full upgraded crossover kit from Falcon Acoustics. Very beautiful, natural sounding tweeter sound accurate reproduction of vocals. One of the best and most balanced vintage speakers I have heard thus far, with lots of clean and tight bass. This model has the super rare Peerless Tweeter and Peerless midwoofer which sounds magical. Grills are in perfect condition. Would love to keep these but unfortunately they are just too large to be on my entertainmen

The model is identifiable enough to benchmark, but I’d still want to confirm the exact version, restoration history, and whether the surrounds/crossovers have been serviced, since those details move value a lot.

If the cabinets are clean and the drivers are original or sympathetically restored, A$1,500 is a sensible entry point; just make sure both speakers are matched, all drivers are healthy, and any replacement parts or refoam work are disclosed.
