Virtually brand new Oppo UDP 205 for sale. This is in excellent/VIRTUALLY mint condition in original packaging and with bag, remote and manual. This has barely had 6 DVDs and a few CDs played from new. It has spent the last 5 years in its box in a nice warm centrally heated non-smoking home.
At £2,250, this is right around the top of the recent used market for this model in the UK, sitting a touch above the £2,114 median and just over the £2,237 75th percentile, so it reads as slightly ambitious rather than a steal. It is not wildly out of line, but buyers should expect the condition and accessories to justify being at the upper end.
That said, the UDP-205 has a strong reputation for its transport quality, DAC section, and all-round versatility, and clean examples remain sought after. An excellent-condition unit is the right sort of listing to pay near the top for, especially if it includes the original cables and accessories and has been well cared for; if so, it is still a sensible buy for someone who specifically wants one of the best universal players Oppo made.
