Could this be a strong buy at €185? Yes — with a median of €206 and a 25th percentile of €118 across recent comparable EUR listings, this sits a touch below the middle of the market and still looks like fair-to-good value rather than a stretch.
The appeal here is the compact all-in-one format: these Teufel units are popular for delivering room-filling sound, tidy footprint, and easy everyday use without needing a stack of separate gear. In excellent condition, €185 is sensible if it includes the remote and power supply, and it becomes more attractive if the unit is fully tested and the display, disc transport, and Bluetooth/radio functions are all behaving properly.

Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
