This is a buyer’s market: €75 is a strong bargain against the comparable used market, sitting well below the €119 25th-percentile mark and far beneath the €206 median. The exact model is unclear from the listing, but the price is compelling for a complete three-speaker front/centre/rear grouping in excellent condition.
Teufel’s home-cinema speakers are generally valued for energetic, room-filling presentation and sensible dialogue clarity, making a matching centre and rear set a useful foundation for an affordable surround system. The main thing to confirm is model compatibility with the intended front speakers or amplifier, since “170W” is not enough to identify the series or guarantee a tonal match. If the cabinets, drivers, terminals and grilles are clean and all three speakers are working, this looks like an easy buy rather than a listing to overthink.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
