Overview
Further refined since the original M-Project models, Magico's M3 is a true reference level loudspeaker.
A largely inert cabinet with three-axis matrix internal framework houses the 5 drivers, with the midrange in a purpose built sub-enclosure made of a proprietary polymer.
The MPro's Diamond coated Beryllium diaphragm tweeter (28-mm) avoids the extra weight of a full diamond dome while retaining the expected sonic characteristics. The tweeter provides extra-long excursion and uses a neodymium based motor system that is customized to match the sensitivity and power handling capabilities.
Magico is the world’s first manufacturer to utilize graphene in speaker cone design. The newly designed six-inch midrange and seven-inch bass driver cones are both manufactured using Multi-Wall carbon XG Nanographene and an ultra-stiff proprietary new carbon weave.
Also includes the optional MPOD Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) feet.

At A$83,000, this is an ambitious ask: it sits well above the A$49,125 75th percentile from 14 recent comparable listings, and more than three times the A$25,287 median. Unless this is an unusually pristine, late-production pair with exceptional provenance and a complete original package, the price looks difficult to justify against the used market.
The M3 remains a serious loudspeaker: a sealed, highly inert design with a diamond-coated beryllium tweeter, graphene midrange and three graphene bass drivers. It is prized for speed, transparency, low coloration and unusually strong bass control, but each speaker weighs roughly 145 kg, so delivery and installation are major considerations. At this money, insist on an in-person audition, flawless drivers and finish, original MPOD hardware, grilles and packaging, plus clear ownership history. A meaningful reduction would make this far more compelling.

Magico, a pinnacle of American high-end audio engineering, traces its origins to 1994 in Berkeley, California, where founder Alon Wolf pioneered the use of aluminum enclosures for loudspeakers. Drawing from aerospace and automotive construction principles, Wolf's vision emphasized rigid, non-resonant cabinets to achieve unprecedented transparency and accuracy in sound reproduction. The company consolidated operations in 2013 into a expansive 20,000-square-foot facility in Hayward, later expanding to 30,000 square feet, solidifying its commitment to in-house craftsmanship by a team of specialized machinists and technicians.
Magico specializes exclusively in loudspeakers, eschewing amplifiers, DACs, turntables, headphones, or cables to focus relentlessly on driver technology, enclosure design, and material science. Their products feature intricate internal frameworks that minimize vibrations, delivering reference-level dynamics and imaging prized by audiophiles seeking uncolored musical truth.
Positioned firmly in the ultra-high-end market, Magico commands reverence among discerning buyers for its technological vanguardism and consistent critical acclaim. Enthusiastic owners and a legacy of innovation ensure its stature as a boutique leader, where every speaker embodies precision engineering tailored for the ultimate listening experience.
