A fair price, but not a standout deal: GBP 83 is just above the comparable-listing 75th percentile of GBP 81, versus a GBP 68 median and GBP 53 lower quartile. I’d want the listing to be especially clean and complete before paying the full asking price; GBP 70–75 would feel more compelling.
The E30 remains a very capable compact DAC, with USB, optical and coaxial inputs, clean RCA output, a neutral presentation and useful remote-controlled volume if you want to run it directly into powered speakers or a power amp. It also supports high-resolution PCM and DSD, though those headline formats matter less than its genuinely strong everyday performance. Confirm that the remote, USB lead and suitable 5V power supply are included, and check the display, inputs and touch controls work properly; at GBP 83, completeness matters.
