The Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 is notable for combining strong noise cancellation with a spacious, immersive presentation in a genuinely portable design. At €250, though, this is above the €197 median and €223 75th-percentile asking price from 36 recent comparable listings, so it is ambitious rather than a bargain.
The “Excellent” condition and included cables and accessories help justify some premium, particularly if the headset is clean, complete, and lightly used. It remains a compelling choice for travel, commuting, and listeners who value comfort, effective ANC, and Bose’s polished wireless experience. Still, at this money, the buyer should expect excellent battery health, pristine ear cushions, and a fully functioning case and controls; otherwise, negotiating closer to €220 would better match the market.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
