USD 595 is a strong deal for a Bel Canto DAC2.5, assuming it is complete and working. Comparable used examples have appeared around USD 1,080, while the original unit sold for roughly USD 1,999, so this sits well below the usual market level rather than merely being fair.
The DAC2.5 remains a particularly useful piece: a smooth, capable converter with AES, coaxial, optical, USB, analog input, balanced XLR output, variable preamp control, and a genuinely worthwhile headphone amplifier. Its 24/96 USB is dated, but the other inputs, low-jitter clocking, and 122dB balanced dynamic range still make it versatile in a serious system. At USD 595, confirm the remote, power cable, display, volume control, and both outputs operate properly; if so, this is an easy recommendation.
