Are you specifically after the Dawn Pro 2’s balanced output and DSP, rather than just a basic dongle? At £55, this looks like a fair price, sitting above the £38 median but comfortably below the £104 upper quartile in 19 comparable listings. It is not a bargain by the numbers, but neither is it ambitious—especially if complete and lightly used.
The Dawn Pro 2 is a capable little DAC/amp, with dual CS43198 conversion, both 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs, useful independent volume control and enough power for most IEMs and efficient headphones. Its adjustable parametric EQ is a genuine bonus for system matching. Because the condition is unknown, check that the USB cable is included, both outputs are clean, the volume buttons work and there is no intermittent connection. If it is tidy and fully functional, £55 is a sensible enthusiast buy; a little negotiation would make it stronger.
