The Meridian G61R’s recent comparable asking prices centre on £737, with the lower quartile at £653 and upper quartile at £822. At £568, this is comfortably below the 25th percentile: a genuine bargain if it is complete and working, rather than merely an average used price.
It remains a capable Meridian processor, offering flexible analogue and digital connectivity, high-precision DSP, room-correction capability, and decoding including Dolby, DTS, Trifield and Ambisonics. It is particularly attractive for a Meridian-based multichannel system or a listener who values serious processing without stepping up to the more elaborate G68. With condition listed as unknown, check the display, remote, inputs, outputs, configuration software/accessories and successful operation across channels; even allowing for a modest service risk, £568 leaves useful headroom.
