Offered is „Frey 2 (1,1m)“ by Nordost as second-hand device from the category „Power Cords“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 2024019011 ends on 27.12.2026 at 17:14 o'clock.
The Frey 2 is a well-regarded step-up in Nordost’s Norse 2 range, aimed at greater resolution and lower noise without reaching Valhalla money. At €480, this is a strong bargain: it sits well below the €971 25th-percentile mark from 21 comparable listings, and is only about a third of the €1,404 median asking price.
Its silver-plated solid-core conductors, Dual Mono-Filament construction, effective shielding, and fast, clean presentation make it a worthwhile choice in a revealing system, particularly where timing and low-level detail matter. Check that €480 buys the intended pair, confirm RCA or XLR termination and cable length, and inspect the MoonGlo/Neutrik plugs and jacket for damage. Assuming those basics check out, this looks like an unusually attractive used-market opportunity rather than merely a fair buy.

Nordost, an American high-end audio brand, traces its origins to 1991 when it was founded in Massachusetts, just outside Boston. From the outset, the company committed to designing, engineering, and manufacturing all products exclusively in the United States, drawing on aerospace-derived technologies like conductor solutions to pioneer its signature flat cable geometry. This Northeast-rooted heritage—reflected even in the brand's name, meaning "northeast" in Scandinavian languages—has defined Nordost as a beacon of innovation in signal preservation for over three decades.
The brand specializes in premium hi-fi cables and accessories, including speaker cables, interconnects, digital cables, power cords, and video transmission lines. Nordost employs advanced techniques such as Micro Mono-Filament construction and mechanically tuned lengths to minimize distortion and maximize fidelity. Beyond cables, its lineup extends to power distribution systems, grounding solutions, and resonance control devices, forming a comprehensive ecosystem that enhances the entire audio chain without venturing into amplifiers, speakers, or turntables.
Renowned among audiophiles worldwide, Nordost occupies a premium niche in the high-end market, celebrated for revolutionary designs that deliver unadulterated sound. From accessible Leif series entry points to exotic Valhalla and Odin flagships, its products command respect in over 60 countries, positioning the brand as a go-to for discerning buyers seeking boundary-pushing performance and uncompromising quality.
