DIY Linkwitz Phoenix Subwoofer (Passive) THIS ADVERT IS FOR SUBWOOFERS ONLY. PHOTOS INCLUDING MAGNEPANS ARE FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY. Wonderful pair of open baffle subwoofers. About LINKWITZ

LINKWITZ is a specialist loudspeaker brand rooted in the work of Siegfried Linkwitz, the German-American engineer behind the influential Linkwitz Lab. The company’s modern identity traces to his loudspeaker research and to the continuation of that work after his death in 2018; the brand is closely associated with Germany and with Linkwitz’s long-running design philosophy rather than a broad consumer-audio empire.

Its core focus is high-end loudspeakers, especially large-format active dipole and holographic systems such as the LX521 series. Available information points strongly to speaker systems, associated amplifier packages, and related accessories rather than a wide catalog of turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables. The brand is therefore much more specialist than generalist hi-fi makers.

In market terms, LINKWITZ sits in the niche boutique high-end segment. Its products are aimed at serious listeners who value accuracy, imaging, and custom-like engineering over mainstream convenience, and its reputation is tied to a very particular school of loudspeaker design rather than mass-market recognition.
