Seller's Description

GoldenEar Technology Triton One Floorstanding Loudspeakers Hi all.   Bought these speakers new in 2015, however, they have only performed duty in a home theatre setup since I lost my audio listening space and sold all my stereo gear.  It is time to get rational, I don't need these grand speakers in an otherwise mid-level HT setup. They are in excellent working condition. They are lovely articulate speakers with a 1600watt sub in each speaker. Please see link below for further docs and specs.  There are some minor, hardly noticeable scuff marks on the bases and the connectors have some very min

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At A$4,600, this is fair to slightly strong versus the Triton One’s original A$7,500-ish launch price equivalent and its reputation as a legit flagship tower; I’d call it good value if the market comparison is against typical used high-end floorstanders, but it’s not an automatic bargain unless local comps are materially higher. The listing reads excellent, so the price is acceptable rather than ambitious, especially for a model that sat near the top of GoldenEar’s range and earned strong reviews for scale, speed, and bass authority.

What makes it worth a look is the easy, full-range presentation: the Triton One is a high-sensitivity, powered tower with serious low-end output and a ribbon-style tweeter that gives it the lively, airy top end GoldenEar is known for. If the pair is complete, quiet, and the built-in bass section is healthy, this is the kind of speaker that can sound far bigger than its asking price; I’d simply verify driver/amp function and that any grilles, spikes, and original packaging or manuals are included, since those matter more here than cosmetics.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About GoldenEar Technology

GoldenEar Technology emerged in the summer of 2010 when Sandy Gross, a veteran audio engineer and co-founder of acclaimed speaker brands like Polk Audio and Definitive Technology, launched the company in the United States. Partnering with his wife Anne Conaway and former colleague Don Givogue, Gross sought to build on decades of innovation, prioritizing revolutionary engineering alongside sonic excellence, elegant design, and accessible value.

The brand specializes exclusively in loudspeakers, offering a diverse lineup from compact bookshelf models to towering floorstanders like the Triton series, alongside powered towers and sophisticated subwoofers optimized for both stereo and home theater setups. This focused portfolio avoids diversification into amplifiers, DACs, turntables, headphones, or cables, emphasizing instead high-performance drivers and proprietary technologies for immersive, full-range sound.

GoldenEar occupies a premium mid-tier position in the hi-fi market, celebrated for delivering reference-level performance at prices that undercut true high-end competitors, appealing to discerning buyers through specialty dealers and custom installers. Its reputation for superb value and engineering breakthroughs has solidified its status among knowledgeable audiophiles, with recent acquisition by PML Sound International in 2025 ensuring continued evolution under a banner of shared innovation.
