Seller's Description

Chord Chameleon VEE 3 RCA interconnects for sale, 1M pair. The plugs have just been replaced by Chord, as the original plugs became "sticky". So these have the benefits of having new plugs, but are fully burned in. Because the plugs have been replaced the cables are slightly shorter than 1m, they are 96cm long excluding the plugs, so very little difference. Some people think that the Chord Chameleon VEE 3 sounds better than the Shawlines, so its a good buy!

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This £40 asking price is a strong bargain, sitting well below the 25th percentile of £103 and far under the median of £125 for recent used GBP listings of this interconnect. With the new Chameleon VEE 3 now retailing at £120 for 0.5m and £135 for 1m pairs, securing a used pair for £40 represents exceptional value regardless of the specific length, especially since the model is a fresh update rather than an aging legacy cable.

The Chameleon VEE 3 is well-regarded for delivering Chord Company’s signature balanced sound with clear imaging and tight bass, making it a versatile upgrade for budget-conscious systems. As a recent release, it avoids the age concerns of older interconnects and likely retains most of its original performance potential. At this price, even if the condition is unconfirmed, the upside is substantial for an enthusiast seeking high-quality analog connectivity without the new-cable markup.

About Chord Company

The Chord Company, a British hi-fi cable specialist, traces its origins to 1985 in Salisbury, England, where founder Sally Kennedy—then Sally Gibb—began handcrafting interconnects in her kitchen. Sparked by a dinner conversation with Naim Audio retailers seeking quality DIN-to-RCA cables for the US market, she launched the venture with Naim's endorsement, emphasizing fully British design and construction. The company rapidly outgrew multiple facilities before settling into its purpose-built headquarters near Stonehenge in Wiltshire in 2004.

Chord focuses exclusively on audio cabling, producing an extensive range of speaker cables, interconnects, power cords, digital links, and tonearm wires. Its products prioritize neutrality, delivering signal paths that neither add nor subtract from the music, crafted by a team of music enthusiasts using high-quality, UK-sourced materials. This singular dedication sets it apart from broader electronics brands.

Renowned internationally as a high-end boutique leader in cables, Chord Company occupies a premium niche, balancing exceptional performance with value across budgets. Its reputation for transparency, build quality, and musical fidelity earns praise among discerning audiophiles, positioning it as a go-to for system upgrades without extravagant pricing.
