Current references put the DX180 around US$479–US$529 new, while several used examples cluster around roughly US$350–US$450 depending on memory and condition, so US$400 sits close to the middle of the used market rather than below it.
That still makes it a sensible buy if the unit is clean, because the DX180 is widely regarded as a capable mid-tier player with strong sound quality, solid power for IEMs and headphones, Android streaming support, and very respectable battery life for the class. The main upside is getting a current-gen, well-reviewed DAP at a noticeable discount from new; at this price, I’d mainly want confirmation of battery health, screen condition, and whether the box/accessories are included.
