US$100 is a strong deal here, well below the typical used market anchored by a US$331 median and US$150 25th percentile. Even allowing for the specialized buyer pool, this is priced like a quick-sale opportunity rather than a normal ask.
The appeal is straightforward: this is a proper whole-home matrix controller/amp, useful for feeding multiple rooms from multiple sources in one chassis, which is still handy for retrofits and distributed audio systems. At this price, the main thing to verify is basic functionality and completeness—zone outputs, source switching, and any needed power supply or control accessories—because the upside is in getting a niche, installed-audio workhorse cheaply.

Matrix Audio traces its roots to Xi'an, China, where three high school classmates bonded over music and audio tinkering in the early 2000s. Their passion led to building homemade speakers during a 2001 summer holiday, evolving into formal collaboration after university in 2006 with the debut of the groundbreaking DAC DA-100Plus. The brand was officially registered in 2013 under Matrix Electronic Technology Co., LTD, embodying the founders' vision of balancing sonic precision and aesthetic harmony—reflected in the "matrix" name, drawn from mathematics, and their slogan "Into The Music."
The company specializes in high-performance digital audio source devices, starting with DACs and headphone amplifiers like the best-selling mini-i series. From 2016, they expanded into streaming solutions with companion apps, and by 2018 introduced integrated music streamers featuring power amplification, quad-core processors, and MA Player software. Today, their lineup emphasizes all-in-one Hi-Fi components that blend research, design, and manufacturing in-house, prioritizing seamless integration into modern homes.
Matrix Audio holds a strong position as a mid-to-high-end contender, prized for exceptional value, engineering excellence, and user-friendly execution that rivals legacy brands. Globally recognized for sound quality, build, and minimalist design, it appeals to discerning enthusiasts seeking complete digital ecosystems without complexity, earning acclaim from audiophiles worldwide.
