Our Thoughts RADAR AI

The D12 Anaconda is a notably versatile old-school portable DAC/amp, and at USD 150 this is a strong bargain rather than merely a fair price. Your comparable data puts it exactly at the 25th percentile, well below the USD 312 median and comfortably under the USD 450 upper quartile.

Its appeal is the unusually useful input set—USB, optical, and coaxial—combined with a clean, spacious presentation and enough output for many portable and full-size headphones. It supports roughly 8–300-ohm loads, offers gain settings, and can run for about 18 hours as a DAC/amp or longer as an amplifier. The main buying check is battery health: this is a discontinued design, so confirm it charges properly, holds reasonable runtime, and includes the needed mini-USB or digital cables. At USD 150, a tested, working example remains an easy recommendation.
